I have a lot of guppies in my 45gal, along with other various fish. I just got back from holiday yesterday, and one of my XL female guppies was dead. :-( Then, as I was feeding them later that day, I noticed my other XL female acting odd. Looking closer, I saw that she has got a big white lump on her left side, it looks solid, and three of her scales were sticking up, but they looked like they were hanging off.
I don't know what's wrong with her, but she is pregnant, as all of my females are, and I don't want it to effect her or any of her fry. What is it and what can I do?

i dont know about thelump but the scales seelike the start of dropsy, which is asically untreatable, just do lots of water changes
what are your water readings?nitrite, ammonia etc

What lots of little water changes or big ones? How is dropsy caused? My poor little guppy. :-(
I'll get my water tested at my LFS tonight, I really need to buy a test kit. :X

dropsy is usually caused by bad water conditions,
do 25% water changes
