:D hi everyone i'm setting up a 20g breeder tank i'v decided to put some endlers and some high fin platys in i was thinking about what els i could put in my tank but not a livebeare for a change so is there anything els fairly easy to breed which is't a livebeare thanks a lot tomo9

ps. dont mention danios i've got millions of there fry :hyper:

If you want to seriously breed these fish, its much better to have one type of fish per tank. Its also important to have a decent sized fry raising tank as well, especially with livebearers like platys and endlers. How many fish do you already have in the tank and how many of each gender as well? How long has the tank been set up? Any particular motives for breeding these fish?

the tanks not set up yet when i put the fish that i wish to put it should come to a tatal of 13

You cannot just put lots of fish in the tank when its just been set up otherwise you will put them under a lot of stress and will probably loose some to sickness or directly to unstable water quality problems.
Are you knowledgable yet on the two main processes of cycling a tank? If not, i strongly advise you go through the beginners sections pinned articles, particularly this one;

Livebearers like platys and endlers can produce vast quantities of fry on a monthly basis. Getting the right ratio of genders for each fish is also highly important (usually 3 females per male or more is ideal)- you should concentrate on researching platys and endlers first before getting any other fish.
You also need to take into consideration that platys and endlers will eat their fry, so stocking the tank a lot like a community tank will probably result in very few fry or none at all.
I don't particularly agree with just buying a fish so you can breed it if this is what you are going to do, especially if you have not kept these particular animals before- these are pets after all, and deserve respect. Breeding fish all the time can stress them out, it is not always for their own good. It is also an expensive project to take on if you are to do it responsably- i would definately not advise doing it for profit as it is rarely ever profitable when you take into consideration all of the expenses.

You also need to think through your plans a lot- what do you do if your platys give brith to 50 fry and they aren't eating them? How are you going to raise 50 fry, or will you be able to humanely euthanise any excess fry born? What if your local petshop doesn't to take the fry, and you have no one else to sell or give them to? How are your going prevent inbreeding between the maturing fry as they grow?
With danio fry, you are also probably looking at a year until they are anywhere near desirable size.

Sorry if i sound a little patronising, but i am concerned as too many people take on fish as breeding projects with little thought into keeping or breeding them responsably in the long run.
