I've been here for a long time (i've not posted recently) and i've just realised that most of you (not all) have been posting ur problms and all you say is ur problem sometimes ur fish stock and thats it.

If i may remind you that if u post ur test results we can help better and most importaint of all is the ammonia, nitrate, nitrete and PH results, if you can't test your water at home then most decent aquatics centers will be able to test it for you and sell you a test kit wich is well worth the money.

Sorry if i appear rude to all of you but it must be said we can give you better advice if we have more info abt ur water

ps any treatments that you have tried would help

Hi Tropjunky :)

It's always good to see you posting again!

The most important part of curing a sick fish is in making a proper diagnosis. With inadequate information it's possible to waste valuable time treating a fish for a disease he doesn't have. Even worse, giving a fish medication he does not need can weaken him and cause his condition to deteriorate even further.

I can add a few more things that are helpful to post too. For example, it helps if we know the water temperature, tank size and the number of fish in the tank. In some cases telling us how often you do your water changes and how big they are will give us clues to the problem too.

Another thing to do that will enable us to out is to include your location in your profile. Not all medications are available in all countries and if we know where you are from we can often suggest one that will be safe for your fish and will help it to get well.
