Plecs And Blood Worm...

I just fed the tank some frozen blood worm and i noticed my plec came out hovering up blod worm too...


Is this normal??

its not like he has nothing to eat, he was nibbleing on a plec pelet before he went for the worm as well as some slight alge growth in my tank that he grazes on at night

Totally normal Most fish eat whatever food is going around. They pay little attention to labels

Bizare just always thought of plecs as eating only alge or veg

I knew they would take other foods if they were starving but i never thought it would take frozen bl;ood worm...

most plec's eat blood worms, zebra plecs i think especially.

My common plec munches on bloodworm too from time to time, if he gets the chance.

I thought they were veggies too until my plec accidentally landed on a pile of bloodworms (he was going for his cucumber).

He hoovered them up in 1 go then went looking for more!

lol mine had sort of teeth and i knew he ate worms etc. just had to convince my mum he was a nice little veggie lol hiding his teeth at the same time.
