Anyone else ever notice when you drop that lil wafer in there, and turn the lights off. That Pl*c is on that food in no time. Maybe 30 seconds. It makes me wonder how the hell did he do that. Its soo cute, and then he does his lil happy food dance(swim) lol.

Smell for me too although perhaps they just learn what the signs are. Like my kuhlis and plecs come out when I turn the air pump off cos they know I do that before feeding them.

Actually its taste. Catfishes bodies are just like huge tounges as they have taste receptors all over their bodies, the catfish can taste their food before it even hits the bottom.
