Yeah, it is, we have two of these stunning plecs.
Also known as The Red-Tailed Sternella.

what a gorgeous L114, mines still a tiny 1", can't wait untl it starts reaching a size like yours when the colours start to show more.

thanxs for your comments peeps only trouble is thats the 1st time ive seen him in over a month likes to hide in a cave most of the time i think the pic shows the colours more it was taking on a camera fone unsure on the age of them both as got them with the tank had them 3 months and there doing good im pusing it abit really cos i have 4 plecs in a 50 gallon :/

I think one of the key aspects of taking tank pics (as taking diving pics) is control over the aperture. If you can expand this to a 1.8stop then shutter speed can be kept reasonable so the blurring can be reduced.

Once I have set my tank up I will experiment and post my findings based on underwater diving photography.

BTW great pics.

Will also experiment with my underwater camera housing and see what that does.l

That is beautiful I want one of them. That would look great in my 55 gallon a pair of them. I cant seem to have any luck with the golden nuggets either. I have to try my luck with these kind now....

Nice plecs, 2 really nice ones! I have an L066 myself and its getting really nice and big in my 6foot tank now.
The L114s are very nice and well sort after, we have 4 or 5 of them at work @ around 3". They should grow to a stunning 12" quite easily.
