my baby mollies are 4 to 6 months old and they have not even become 1 inch so i would like to know what am i missing or what am i doing wrong. please read this data and tell me what is wrong or missing

aquarium size- 60 litres( 15 gallon)
temperature- 30 to 32 c
number of fishes- 10(black molly fries)
feeding times- 3 times each day
food which i feed them- blood worms and flakes
water change- once in a month

i have not got any filter in my aquarium and i have not kept any live plants, sand or stones. there are no other fishes with my black mollies in the aquarium.

if you think i am doing anything wrong anything which i can do more than please tell so that my fishes grow faster.thank you

If you keep fish in a tank with no filter you will need to do a water change of about 40 % at least twice a week .

well the thing is that i have got only 10 small young babies who dont make the water that dirty and they always eat water food i give so none of the particles are left over so the aquarium doesnt get dirty that much. my fishes are small for that big aquarium and that is why the water doesnt become very dirty and i dont need a filter so i do less water changes.

To encourage fish to grow:
  • Feed lots of life foods, the very best is newly hatched brine shrimp.
  • Feed every 6 hours.
  • Lots of water changes (no matter of filter and food).
  • No stress
  • Warm water (over 78F is getting high) if to high though they grow to fast and become weak, I prefer 72-74F.
  • Lots of plants, as these encourage microscopic foods for the fry to eat as well

they benefit from a bit af salt too slightly brackish water, you need a filter to keep the water clean and they are not that expensive , if you try and rush growth they can get weak and die, get spine deformaties, internal problems , and no imunaty against deseises the list can go on i dont see why you would want to rush growth as watching them grow naturally is quite rewarding within itself again get a filter it doesn't have to be a big thing just enough for your tank a hang on back type would be fine for a fry tank and also plants are a good thing to have in there too

Basically adding salt increases the tolerance of the fish allowing them to thrive in poorer water conditions.
So if you have them in freshwater and their happy then you can presume the water is good.

So they do not need salt!

how can i ensure that my fishes are not stressed? how can i decrease the temperature?

It's not just left over food that dirties the water - it is the waste the fish produce, your actual water stats could be interesting.

Clean water helps growth so 3x20% weekly should see them having a growth spurt and I'd also add a filter.

i would say buy a filter to help the water but that would cause a cycle and do more harm than good if it isnt contained

You NEED to do 40%-50% water change twice a week.

By adding a filter it will not cause a cycle if the tank is cycled alreay (unless your removing a established filter). It will how ever help to keep the water quality better
