I have took the sand out of my axolotl tank. The remainds have made the water really cloudy so I don't want to put my axolotls in yet, but I don't want to stress them out. (they are in a small tub) Should I leave the filter on or of?

Leave the filter ON! as it wil clear the water. I think they would be ok with cloudy water tbh, its not like there water is perfect 24/7, however I could be wrong.

be carefull theres not small particles of sand floating around in your water though.... i made that mistake and it messed the filter up oooooppppsssss


but thats just what happened to me and im a newbie myself so i may be wrong.....

Yeah, true, you could give your filter a clean when it clears up.

yeah u just got to watch it dont get into your impeller bearing else u will get a nasty grinding noise from your filter.... thats what happened to me

leave your filter on and make sure you've got some white filter wool on the top of your media give it an hour or so it should have cleared up if not change your wool and leave it running
