I'm getting some filters for my betta tanks and was wondering if there is anything i need to do to their tank before i get it or can I just set it up. It has where you can turn it down for delicate fish and everything so I'm not worried about that, Just wondering if theres anything i need to do to the tank or the filter before I put it on. Thanks

Oh please people will answer if they know the answer. stop buumping up your thread and replacing the title so people will think its new.

Well theres 2 people that obviously dont want to help, anyone else want to help, I really dont care anymore. Why everyone has to be so rude isnt obvious to me but watever, someone with a little respect please help me. Thanks in advance and no thanks to the rude gang up there.

-___- oh please. do you see anyone else doing that? we're not being rude we're just saying that its pointless to bump up your own board, change the title so people will look at this topic, and force people to help when they dont know the answer

Geez people, he's just bumping his thread after over 12 hours of no replies. Give him a break.

Loko - I'm assuming these tanks haven't had filters before? So you're going to be cycling with the fish in there? If so, just keep an eye on the water stats and do water changes accordingly. And follow the instructions on the filter, usually you need to rinse the media off, and it's a good idea to rinse the filter off too.

just give the filter and tank a good rinse before you set it up..

there really was no reason for bc and wisperian to cry about you bumping your topic.. dont worry about them.

Thank you annastasia, my point exactly about me bumping it up. And thank you I will rinse off all the media and filter and thats all I needed to know, thank you. Thank you also vancouver.

How big is the tank....I dont use filters for my betta tanks as they are only small. I would imagine you just put tap safe and a bit of salt in the same. If in doubt run your filter for a week before adding a betta. :good: :good:

Well both of my tanks are 3 gallons and they already have bettas in them and i know they done "need" a filter but I feel better having one in there just because usually I get some weird stuff in small tanks that dont have filters so its a good deal so i figured I'd get some, one for each.
