Can anyone help me?? I have 2 fully matured angelfish ( male and female ) who keep fighting! they have bred many times but all they do now is fight! what can i do? add another female??

are they actually fighting or just pushing each other around?
pairs will often liplock and push each other around a bit. This is normal and is used to make sure the partner is still strong and healthy and worthy of being a parent.
If the fish are taking pieces out of each other then they should be seperated. If this is the case then something has happened to upset them. Have you moved them into a new tank or added any new fish to their tank? Is the water quality ok? Are they being fed well?

You can try redecorating the tank and adding some new plants and wood. It might help

Hi Colin thanks for ur Quick reply. No they're properly at eachother, male is twice the female's size but the female still doesnt back down. They've both been in the same tank for a year and no fish added in months, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate all 0ppm, and they get fed twice a day with good variety. I have tried that and it works for a while but then they get back to fighting. Could they just be sick of eachother??

cheers,

:good:

It certainly sounds like they have had enough of each other. Try cutting back their food for a week and see what happens, (feed a small amount once a day). If the fish aren't fed as well they should drop out of breeding mode and might start to act more civil towards one another. Otherwise you will have to separate them.
You could try adding a couple of new angels so they can make new prs but you will have to remove the unwanted individuals and there might be more fights between all of them.

Are there any other fishes in the tank, dither fish of some sort? if not you could add some and it might distract the angels and help calm things down a bit.
