Okay, so my largest Angle has seemingly contacted hole-in-the-head, I caught it before it got too sever. I've place my Angle in a 5gallon hospital tank with a heater and a sponge filter(no carbon in the filter) and I've dosed the tank with General Cure, I found it worked to cure my Oscar once(when I had the oscar), so why not my Anglefish. Is there any better medicine to help cure him quickly?

Check out the link Here as this says about ways to help reverse it. The medicine you are usuing currently is suggested usually to use.

Some other things to keep in mind...
Hole in the Head may also be realted to water quality factors.
Maracyn, Kanacyn, or Furan may also be needed to prevent secondary infection.

Thx much, I believe that it's due to the beefheart I've been feeding... I fed them 3 times a cube of beefheart last week... That just goes to show the stuff isn't to be fed often... I'll be bumping up my water changes from 15% per week, to 35-40% per week, hopfully this will straighten out the water conditions... Thanks much for the help, I'll be picking up some more GC tonight at my work, just incase this disease decides to "rear it's ugly face" again...

Caused by Hexamita, any anti-parasitic meds can help. Also Metronidazole in a concentration of 5-50 mg/l for up to ten days can be the most effective treatment. Beefheart isn't the cause of your hexamita. Beef heart is very nutritous if fed only 3 times a week like you are doing. Remove peices that are not eaten and you will be fine.

Actually despite beefheart being nutritious it lacks in certain vitamins that may cause defeciencies... Aswell, overfeeding beefheart can cause fatty liver disease. I was recommended by a breeder to use beefheart only once or twice a month, if raising fry and trying to get them to grow quickly then I was recommended to slice the frozen beef heart cube into tiny cubes/piece about 1/2cm, feeding that 3-4 times a week to the fry is okay. But it shouldn't be fed regularly like things such as bloodworms, brine shirmp and glass worms.
