Hello,
One of my angelfish has something red and white coming out of its anus. He has no discolouration, body or fin damage, gills and eyes look normal colour. He seems happy with no obvious change in behaviour. I am new to angelfish but have been keeping fish for years and I have no idea what is causing this.
It is a 25g tank, well planted, 2 years old, well maintained (i think), filtered, airated etc. Water quality is good.
Tank mates are 2 blue gouramis, 2 corys and another angelfish, none of whom have these symptoms.
Could this be an internal parasite? It dosent look like Camallanus worms, it looks more like a blob than the tail end of a worm.
I would really really appreciate any help and advice! :(
Thanks!

Do you mean red and white blob.
Does it look like mincemeat red and white bits in a ball, as that can be internal parasites.
Other signs of internal parasites are being thin or bloated, enlarged anus, red inflamed anus.

Hello wilder :)
Yes it looks like a white blob with red bits in it and the anus is inflamed. It looks smaller today, But yes he is looking a little bloated.
Shall I start treating for internal parasites?
