 ....I medicated my new 78ltr tank with two crushed tablets from my lfs for parasite and fungas...now my tank smells really bad...not like amonia though...Is this normal after medicating? Please help!!!!

Cant wait till its all established.....and my fish can be happy. My original fish are thriving in the small medic tank..last day tomorrow for treatment and my two females look heavily pregnant....havnt had babies for ages due to sick water...:( Hope all goes well.. Baby fry seem to be fattening up and getting strong - would have been better just leaving the babies in the new tank from the start and begin a virgin community of guppies. My oldest fry is 2months 1 week - she is plain with black and yellow spotted tail...her mom was the same..and our best breeder. Sadly she has pased but her fry live on. YAY!!

Ph levels are nuteral temp is 79F...Fish seem ok. Thats a good thing I guess,The tank has been set up two weeks...should I do a water change or is it best left to settle????????????????????????????? Im confused I just want to start doing less and maintain a healthy tank forever.......!! Is this poss? Perhaps? Maybe? I guess time shall tell.

:)

Fish want clean, stable water. It's really all they need other than food and to be well balanced in their tank as far as aggression goes. Weekly water changes are minimal if you have a Python. Look it up online under "python no spill" in Google. PetSmart, Amazon, and Dr. Foster & Smith carry these. It makes water changes really easy as it sucks water right down a sink drain and fills up right from the sink too. If water is kept clean (based on bioload levels. get a test kit to tell) most diseases are completely preventable.
