Please Help -- Severum Trouble!

Just peeked in on my gold severum -- when I bought him, about two weeks ago, his eyes had the most brilliant orange you'd ever seen. two hours later, his eyes are BLEACHED WHITE, AND HE IS SITTING ON THE GROUND. He is not laying there, he is sitting in the corner. He is usually an incredibly active fish... he is kept in a 90 gallon with 4 silver dollars, 1 other severum (much smaller) and a BGK. none of which have gotten into a fight with it. I am unable to post params (broke the test tube... what an idiot I am) I will post a pic of the fish tomorrow if it is needed... Please, somebody help me!! I am unable also to isolate the fish.... but will readily try to,.... (?) I don't know... I thought i researched every kind of sickness I could've before I went into fish keeping.... what have I done wrong, and can I help him? to go into more detail about his eyes, they do not seem cloudy, they are just solid white, except for his pupils. His behaviour is almost nonexistant compared to what is usually is. Please help me!

Trying to add as much info. as possible... He does not appear to have laboured breathing, he swims around some, and his colours have seemed to fade a bit..... I feed it
• on Wednesdays & Saturdays, bloodworm
• Every other day, brime shrimp + Cichlid pellets. he never went for any of the vegetables I have tried to feed him (cabbage leaves, romaine lettuce, grape slices, etc.)

EDIT: When I mean two hours later, I mean two hours ago (about 6ish) his eyes were orange.

Right you will have to get water tested fast and tell them to write the readings down, any signs of flicking and rubbing, if water quality is good, it could be a bacterial infection, or parasites.

I wil absolutely do that wilder, thanks for replying... but... the color in his eyes is..... back? I don't really know how... they were white as can be last night.... now today he's perky again with orange eyes.... (really starting to freak out now)

That's good news if his eyes are back to normal, just do a water change till you know your stats, good luck.

Errrr.......... they're eyes must do that when they sleep.... it's going on 8 P.M. here, I've had the lights totally out for a couple of hours, and his eyes are the same bleached white again.... do their eyes change color like that when they sleep? If so, good Lord I did a lot of worrying for nothing

My sev's eyes fade to a dull pink when he's resting (As opposed to the usual blood red color) so I think it is normal for the eye color to dissapear at night
