Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could give me any idea what to do, I have a pleco in my tank who has been totally fine (had him 2 years) but today, i noticed he was bent over like he was doing a crabs bend. When i dipped in to take some water out to test the ammonia, he moved but he just spiralled to the top of the tank and floated there still bent back. Im not sure what is wrong with him, I do have another pleco in my tank who is a bristlenose? Just last week, my siamese fighting fish had cloudy eye, so i treated it with melafix for 7 days and then did a water change on saturday. I hope someone can help, hes still breathing!! Thank you

hi, is it possible that he is starving to death? Plecos sometimes grow very large and eat themsleves out of food.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Does he look pale or darker in colour.
Is he leaning to oneside when resting.
Does he look bloated or thin.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.
Is his anus enlarged, red inflamed.
Does his belly look sunken in.
Is his spine bent.
Does he act listless and lethagic.

Asking if his spine is still bent.

Asking if his spine is still bent.
Hi sorry for taking so long to get back to you, unfortunately he died the next day, I have buried him in the garden. I contacted the tropical fish shop local to me as I couldnt see anything on the internet, they seemed to think he had a stroke or been scared and hurt his spine, i have never seen a fish bent back like this one was. I was so sad as I had him for 2 years! Thanks for taking the time to reply! :)
