I posted several days ago saying there was some white stuff on my Oscar. I was told this was msot likely Ich and since then I have been treating the tank wth NoxIch (NaCl and Malachite Green). Now my fish has large white chunks hanging off his body. It looks exactly like a persons skin does when peeling after a sunburn. Is this normal for Ich? Should the fish have these white chunks and strands hanging off? I just want to make sure I'm treating the right disease.

Yeah, it literally looks just like peeling skin from a sunburn. Its all concentrated around his head area with most on his forehead but none on his body or fins. There are the occasional chunks that are hanging off as well.

Just a thought he hasn't burnt himself on the heater has he, or caught his head on something in the tank.

Hole in the head is pitting you don't get big chunks falling off.

HITH desease symptoms varys a bit depending on how long it has been left untreated and can look like sun burn on the fish, its better to make sure his fish doesn't have it as it is lethal left untreated. Oscars are very prone to the desease.

That sounded abit nasty my writing, didn't mean it to tokis, anyway she can take a look at the link to make her mind up.
