Hi Guys !

I need some urgent help here.

A few days ago I noticed my VERY pregnany Baloon Mollie "flashing" against some of the decorations in the tank.....rubbing up against them really fast.

Today she is in the corner of the tank and just keeps swimming up and down really fast. I took a good look at her and she has these small raised "spots" or "bumps" on her. They look white but she is white/yellow in color so it's hard to tell.

Is this Ich?

The tank has been up and running for about a month and a half. I have not tested my water cause I don't have a kit, but I will buy one today.

Everyone else is doing just fine!

Here's my dilema.....This fish was due to have babies on Thursday.....she's ready to bust but I think she is really stressed out right now cause of the spots.

I have a blue medication called NOX-ICH. Should I add this to the tank?

This is what had to planned to do to:

1. 50% water change
2. Temp is normally at 80...raise to 85
3. Add Salt to water
4. Treat with NOX-ICH

Does this sound OK! Also will this medication harm my other fish and twelve one month old fry?

I only have one tank so moving her and treating her is not an option....I have a one gallon but no heater or filter.

PLEASE HELP!

I don't want to loose her and all the fry too!! :-( :-(

Thanks!

Heather

i think its ich and fungus. you should add your ich medicine change 20% of the water, and raise the temp to about 78-80 degrees.

good luck

raise the temp to 85 degrees The parasite cannot survive in this higher temp.If you dont have any scaless fish in your tank then you can add the salt. You dont need any medicine at all with the temp this high it is enough to kill off it without using any medicine to further strees out your already stressed mollie.Ask anyone here if this is what they would recommend and they will tell you this is the way to get rid of ich.
