Hoping someone can help, I'm having major problems with me tank. I have a 200 litre planted tank that was well understocked
with 15 tetras, 3 clowns, 2 glass cat fish, 5 amarno shrimp. My tank has been like this for around 9 months and I'd never had a problem.
the water quality is and has always been excellent. Ph 6.5.
Two weeks ago I decided to add to the tank. I added 3 rockshrimp and 6 cherry barbs. Two days later it all started to go wrong. Every
day for the last two weeks I have lost fish. The fish I've lost are 1 clown, 11 tetras, 2 cherry barbs, 2 glass cat fish. The shrimps don't
as yet seem to have suffered.
The problem is the fish act and look fine are eating fine and then 2 hours later I go to the tank and I've lost another fish, they never
show any signs of illness or injury.
The local fish shop have told me they haven't had any problems with the fish I've bought and advised me to try an internal bacteria
solution. This has now been added and re-added for over a week but I'm still losing fish.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next...
