My platy fry and it mum both have white spot is it ok to use whitespot treatment at full strength with a platy fry in the tank. The dosage on the bottle reads 1 drop per galoon of water. My tank is 27g should i treat the tank with this much meds and will my platy fry be ok.

I had an outbreak of whitespot in my swordtail fry a few years ago. The fry don't tolerate meds very well,but they don't tolerate whitespot either. I used half dosage of a whitespot medication and raised the temperature in the tank gradually to 80 degrees.
IMO full dosage of meds will harm your fry.Good Luck.

Thanks for your help unfortunatly the fry died earlier this morning i am treating the mum though so hopefully she will be ok.
