Please Help Id This :)

Hey guys, so I bought this plant a while ago and its growing really well. It does multiply when it matures and it doesn't send out runners to grow other plants, the parent plant makes 'bulb' kind of things similar to an onion. An ID of this would be greatly appreciated and any advice on trimming it would be amazing as well, I tried to trim the leaves on a 45 degree angle but the leave are now just going brown from where i cut them...

Looks like vallis to be honest, but your description of the lack of runners and bulbs is off so I'd go for a sagittaria.

I just youtube searched some videos and I have to agree with you on sagittaria, the crown, roots and leaves look exactly the same. Thanks for you help

Yeah, I think this looks more sagittaria than Vallis based on what is currently growing in my tank!
