Please Help - Advice Needed For Guppies

Wilder. Sorry to disturb you. I just wanted to run something past you if I may. Still confused about my Guppies. The first batch was definitley an infection of some sort. The second batch there was not sign of tank/water infection. At the same time as adding the guppies I added 2 Chinese Algae eaters (was advised to do so as they eat snails and I had a couple in the tank). Anyway just read somewhere that CAE can/do attack Guppies/Neons when lights are out. All my neons are fine. What I also read is that you can tell the signs as the tail of the Guppies show signs of being nipped at and some of the dead guppies showed that. What are your thoughts?

I have found through experience to always buy locally bred guppies that heve been brought up in local water. Commercially bred guppies are often bred in water with lots of additives and often after a week or so in new 'normal' water they die for no apparent reason.prob simular to ph/nitrite shock but takes longer.

You should remove the 2 Clown Loach and the Plec (if its common) ASAP, they are adding too much bio-load into the tank.

Normally I would agree, as the tank is quite heavily stocked, but as far as I can tell the OP has not mentioned what filtration they are using, so this tank could be overfiltered and coping well.
All that we DO know are the water stats that the OP posted, which all seem fine, and therefore the filter IS currently coping with the tank load.

The water stats have alway been ok. I even take a sample to the aquariam shop to get it checked and they say it is fine. My tank is a Juwell Korner 96. It has a built in filter. Basically I have 2 large filters and a smaller filter (white) that sits on top of the 2 larger filters. I change the white filter with every water change which is every 2 weeks. The large filters I do not change and rinse in the water that I am taking out the tank. When I change the water every 2 weeks I change 25 litres of water. The tank is 96 litres but not sure what the net is by the time plants have sand substrate take up their part of the tank. I think that when I change the water that it looks like almost half the water has been removed. Thanks to you all for your help and patience.

I would buy some liquid test kits of your own as not all lfs can be trusted.

I do have the liquid test kits. I use the API master test kit which tests PH, High PH, Ammonia, Nitrites & Nitrates. The IFS insist on checking the water before they are willing to give advice.
