hi all. i posted a few days ago asking the question, the question was about a breeding pair i had been given ( got given on friday ). regarding mucus. well. the breeding pair of discus are now fully coved in mucus and are lying on the bottom of the quaratine tank looking almost dead. not moving much at all and not even taking food, i have noticed that even there eyes have gone white ( easy way to explain looks like caterax in humans ) now i have no idea what this could be. my water stats are all perfect as same as my main tank which my other discus are thriving, been doing 30 to 40% water changes every other day.

ph - 6.8 to 7.0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - 0
phosphate 2.00
ammonia - 0

just wondering what if anyone knows what the problem is or knows anyone that has had this problem and can it be cured!!!!
i dont wanna just let them pass away without trying.

someone please help

Look up treating discus with potassium permangenate. I think that's spelled right.

Check your gh/kh. Did you acclimate them ? I would add peat to the tank along with some bacterial medicine and stress coat. Test your tap. And do a 25% daily water change fro at least two weeks or until the symptoms subside. And can you post some pics or a video so i can see what they look like.
