Hi all

my platy has suddenly got this really horrible white patch on his side and i have no idea what is it and how to treat it. please can anyone advice me what is it and what causes it so that i can treat it and stop it before it kills my fish. the patch is effecting his fin and its all on one side. here is a picture so that you can see. any advice would be great.

It's a little hard to tell from that pic, but it looks like it might be a burn. Keep your water quality tip top and it should heal up, but do keep an eye out for secondary infections, like fungus, you might need to use a med if that happens.
