Playsand?

I use play sand from my local garden centre in my malawi tank and once its thoroughly washed out, its fine and i have had no problems with it. I just run my fingers through it every week during water changes to get rid of any trapped air, but my Red Zebras do enough digging for me not to worry about air pockets! I now want to convert my community tank from gravel to sand! It looks much nicer IMO! GRJ

Have used play sand in all my tanks for at least the last 7 years, have had no problems with it whatsoever, in the ray tanks there is never enough time for the anaerobic gas pockets to build up as the rays relandscape it every night sifting for food anyway

We have used B&Q, Argos and also the stuff from the Early Learning Centre

Has anyone got a picture of their tank with the Argos play sand? I'm getting a 3ft tank this week, will one bag be enough to cover the bottom of the tank?

We use the argos sand in many of our tanks... (5 atm)

same play sand in in my little tank when i started it up
