Play Sand Or Pool Sand For Tank

Which is the best sand for a tank and for fish?

I just went with the stuff at my LFS, it is more expensive but you have to rinse it minimally before you add it to the tank, and it really barely clouds your water. Just be prepared to spend the money on that kind of sand though.

I perfer pool filter sand as it has a uniform grain size and therefore dose not compact down greatly.

Pool sand doesn't clump together either, not quite as heavy as play sand.
