Ok i bought some neon tetras and put them into my community tank. I had 2 Angels, 5 platys, and a common pleco. All of a sudden one day my Angel looked really sick and I couldnt figure it out until i found a couple of neon tetras dead. Nothing looked wrong with the neon tetras but the angel died the next day (side note i was pissed) and checked over his body and found ick. So i looked hard at all the fish and found a platty with it so i used some ick medication which killed off most of the neons. but my platty who had ick seemed to go away and then another platty seemed to get some weird kind of white fungas it doesnt look like ick though. Ive been using the ick meds for 2 days. Its right on top of his head and kinda on the tip of the fin. Should i get some fungs meds or is it still ick. All the fish are still eating.

Stats are fine 7 PH, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 20, temp is 78.

Any ideas?

I took out all of the carbon from my filters to

Angel and neons don't mix, angels hunt neons in the wild.
Columnaris can show itself in many ways, on the head region in can be a grey whitish spot with a red centre or a circling of red around it.
Columnaris seems to strike the head region if its fluffy on the head and fins you are dealing with columnaris and you will need maracyn one and two.

Wounds that are white on the edges and red in the center are most typically Aeromonas. Those that are red on the edges and white in the center are generally Columnaris. Both are gram negative bacteria. The best treatment for this is any sulfa antibiotic with trimetheprim. This can be put in the water and/or mixed with food -- if you can find Romet B use it.

The neons were in the tank for about 3 weeks and the Angels didnt seem to mind them at all. The neons stayed towrds the bottom in their group and the Angels love the middle of the tank and really like the platies.

Sometimes they will mix and then some will make a lovely meal out of them it really depends on the angels.
Going to bed now lol.
Read them links there good.
Good luck.
