Platy's losing colour

I have 3 red comet platys.When i first bought them they all had a black marking on their tails.That marking seems to be faiding on 2 of my males.Is this normal or have they got something wrong with them?

It's normal for a fish's colour to change with age. Diet also effects their colour. One of my female mickey mouse platy's tails is getting a bit paler, but I don't think you have anything to worry about it. Keep an eye on your platies- if their colour fades dramatically within a short period of time, there may be a problem.
