Hi there, I've just set up a 180l tank. I used water from my other tank and a filter I've kept in my old tank for a couple of months so it's mature and is working. No ammonia or nitrites, nitrates 25ish temp 25. I've put plants and two platys in there. The platys are spending their time hiding under the plants and in corners they seem scared. They've just come out of a 60litre tank. I'm baffled as to why they're hiding. Could it be because it's a large taboo compared to what they're used to? I feel scared to leave them in if they aren't happy. They've been in there about 10 hours now. Would appreciate any advice.

They are just stressed out because they have been moved to a new home. Give them a day or so to settle down. If you have a light on the tank, turn it off until tomorrow and just have the room light on today.

Thank you Colin, to my rescue again! :)
