Platys Have Pale Lips, But Not Like Fungus!

3 out of my 4 mikey mouse platys have started acting strange, like hanging around the filter near the top, at funny angles! and their lips have gone very noticabley pale, but not fluffy like a fungus, just white! any help would be great!

lack of oxygen, if you aint got airation in the tank put it in or if you have turn it up, that should sort it out

well its funny you should say that, well not funny cos my fish arent looking great...but.. i have had loads of aeration, but recently it looked like the bubbles were attatching themselves to my rummy noses, i know it definatly isnt whitespot, so i lowered the areation, and they disappeared, now this has happened, maybe i just need to find a happy medium! thats for your reply!

came down this morning and all three of them platys have died!

im really sorry to hear that, better check your water stats to be on the safe side and treat with antibacterial as well just incase it is something else

im sorry to hear that mate, i know how it feels to loose fish, so painful.

ammonia is 0 and was last night when i tested
nitrite was 0
and nitrate was around 20, give or take a few

treated the tank this morning for fungus as i noticed that one of the rummy noses had something furry on him, but like on his fin, not near his body! he died sometime today, dead when i got home! everyone which is left look healthy, all eating and happy! just a case of waiting to see if anything else dies!
