platys courting

i have been watching my platys this morning and my male(mickey) has been chasing and dancing with the the girl platys in my tank. up, down and all over. is there anything in particular to look for to now if they are mating?
the funniest thing is that he has also been "snuggling up" to satine, my female betta!!!LOL

The gonopodium will become erect and the male Platy will insert it into the female, you can't really miss it if your watching at the time....

I also have 3 mickey mouse platys like you, they are the cutest little things. 1 boy and 2 girls and they do the same dance you talk about. Although I think 1 of the females might be a little bit too young because she runs from the male platy as soon as he tries to come close! Like a Pepe le pew cartoon! Very funny
