Platys Begging For Food

Does anyone else have this problem. My platies always are begging for food. I feed them twice a day. but anytime I walk by the tank there they are at the top waiting to be fed. Even when I open the lid to get a water sample to do a water test there they are as if theyare saying "where is lunch" I work from home, the tank is behind my desk so I get to watch them all day long. They act normal untill i get close tothem then up to the top. sometimes I can't help myself and drop in anextra pinch of food. Does anyone know is this normal behavior? It is almost as if they know I am the one that feeds them and can recognize me. Strange Ithink. Maybe fish are smarter than I thought

Well if they are in the baby way they need it but remember too many feeds mean too dirty water. It is not good to feed them too often.

My fish do the same thing. The move to the corner, where I always feed them. Don't give into it. For the fish, it is natural behaviour. in the wild, they eat and they mate. Pretty sweet, huh? Stick with your twice a day feedings.
