Platys And Swordtails

I bought two female swordtails and I have a male platy how rare is it for them to interbreed with each other?

It's very common, the platy will see the swordtails as platies and try his luck. Heck, my male platy (when I'd lost his partner) tried to mate with a female molly.

It is possible for a platy to produce fry with a swordtail, and so they almost certainly will.

Yes, they will breed just as frequently and well and two platys or two swordtails of the opposite sex

Good luck catchin them. Mine constantly have babies but I have never seen the "deed"

Oh all livebearers are interested in the dirty. They usually only have three things in there head. Hungry, Preggo, or wanna be preggo. They are fun to watch and the babies are simply adorable. I have about 5 3-4 month old juvies and 7 fry about 1/2 inch long

That seems to be on Mickeys mind a lot but he is still really interested in my small red wagtail platy Shy and just nips at her every chance he gets.
