Platy....

We have a platy that is really confusing us....
It seems to have a gonopodium instead of an anal fin so I think male.....but what is confusing is that he/she also seems to have a gravid spot.....a dark spot inside near the anal fins/gonopodium that the other known males do not have....how can this be??? Is this more likely a male or female??? Tried to take a pic, but couldn't get a good one LOL

You'll never know! Just name it "Pat" and call it a day.

Seriously, I was under the impression that a gonopodium dictated a male gender. The gravid spot might just be a marking.

I know, I know...I'm not much help.
