Platy

right have a platy and all i can describe it as is it looks like it is falling apart nearly as if its decaying ammonia nitrate and nitrite are 0 its still swimming and eating . Any ideas whats causing this

Can you give more information?? Are there spots on the head, fins or body? Does it have tatty and blood stained fins? What else is in the tank with it? if its in a bad way you will have to sacrifice it as it may be a bacterial infection that will kill the rest of your fish. If you give more information someone can suggest what the problem is and how to treat it. When you add medication you will need to remove the carbon from your filter or it'll just take out the meds.

yeah looks something like that just looks tatty all other fish are ok its in with platys neons and ottos ill isolate this and see if i can save it

You need an antibiotic then and i would only advise it if you can isolate the fish, but it sounds in bad shape and to be honest it might be to late, so i wishing you all the luck.

Try and isolate the fish on his own like Wilder said and treat with Melafix, its a good antibiotic. Let us know how you get on
