i know they dont lay eggs
but there eggs inside the body wer they hatch before there born arent they???
and if they wer eyes they would be black
but thanks for the help anyway
so does anyone else know?

To be more specific, the black area is the gravid spot, it darkens when they get heavily pregnant, this is cos the black eyes in the gravid spot make it appear darker (please note not all fish you see this on)..

PLatys drop fry every 4-6 weeks, more at the 4-5 week mark.

They can have anywhere between 1-150 fry.

thanks
but i know what a gravid spot is and i know there the eyes and i know you cant see it on all fish
but im askin if u could see orange there instead of black then is that babys that hav just come in there?

ok i think i get what ya mean now sorry...

Yes the gravid spot can change to a orange looking colour, this is the eggs developing and soon you will see they turn to black eyes (type of) its usually not long after this stage they will drop.

coz these females are really see throung so at the moment one has an orange gravid spot which i belive to be the eggs but i just wanted to check
and i just wanted to know coz im not at home durin week days so wanted to get people at home to keep an eye on here so they can move her when she is ready to release
so from this stage if these are eggs say how long would it be till there ready?
thanks

Can you upload a pic? its so much easier to go by the size of her.
