Platy problem

After my platies got white spot I quarrantined them and treated them. Now they are better I have stopped treating them and I waiting to put them back into the main tank. However, I am worried that they may get white spot again. None of the other fish in the main tank have it so I am not sure why they got it last time. It could of been down to stress. Now I have stopped treating them when do you think it will be okay to return them to the main tank. Any advice will be greatly recieved. Thank you!

If they haven't shown any symptoms for at least 2 weeks, it's safe to move them back into the main tank.

Thank you so much. I have read in places thaat white spot is alway present in fish tanks but others say that the parasite needs a host to survive otherwise it dies within 4 days. So surely if none of my fish actually had white spot the paraite would not be in the tank?

some people say whitespot is always present and any stress,means low immune systems which means the parasite can get onto the weakened fish

some say it has to of been a new fish or something like that carrying the desise which brought it into the tank,even if they havent been showing signs of it when you bought it.
