Platy Pregnant

I think my Platy in pregnant as over the last day or 2 she has got alot fatter, not really fat but fatter than my other platy. If she is pregant how many days does it usually take for a platy to drop and do i put her in my breeding tank a week before?

firstly, does your platy have a dark gravid spot near her anal fin, underneath the fish near the big fin at the back. It should appear as a black spot which will grow larger during the pregnancy. If she has one, she is pregnant. The fry should appear within a couple of weeks maybe more, if the gravid spot is quite large and the fish is slightly square, put her in the breeding tank and remove her when the fry are born.

The fish is black but the undeside is slightly orange but there is a darker patch so I think its pregnant. WooHoo saves me buying more of the fish
