Platy pregnant after 2 months from store

Hi, I bought my platy 2 months ago and recently her belly getting bigger and show a dark spot around gravid spot. Can she get pregnant after 2 months with no male fish in the current tank?

I have put a early photo and the latest photo for comparison. Sorry, the water is a bit green because of algae bloom, but the water condition are all fine.

She eat normal and act normal, except she has been chewing on sand substrates recently.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Yes, female platys can hold sperm packets for months, many are bought already pregnant, without the fishkeeper being aware of it.

That being said, the fish in the pics you provided does not look pregnant to me...

Hi, The platy does have a gavid spot, but the lady is not in an advanced state of pregnancy she’ll get much fatter and the belly will square off at later stages.
