I have a speckled orange and black platy. She seems like she is squared off and I think I see her birthing tube. I have seperated her and put her in the breeding trap in my fry tank. She really seemed unhappy about that but I put some bloodworms in there to pacify her. How long should I keep her in there before putting her back in the tank if she doesnt give birth? I dont want to stress her out. I'm having a difficult time distinguishing when my fish are ready to have babies Ive only had three give birth and one I caught in the nick of time. She dropped one in the tank and was chasing it and I pulled her out for her to drop the rest. I have read the pinned threads that you suggested but I'm still a little unsure. I am super concerned with my guppy gals cause the gravid spots are dark and they seemed squared off but looking for that birthing tube is a little difficult they wont cooperate and stay still :) Help! I always come to you guys cause your the best!

Dont leave her in for no more than 48 hours, if she aint give birth then release her.
When you trap her always out the lights in the tank and cover the tank with a towel if the room is well lit.
