Platy Preggers?

i have had guppys pregnant so know what preggers fish look like so i bought a platy 8 weeks ago and she has been preggers the whole time has NOT had any in that time her bellys huge(compared to others in tank<a male>) and has large!!!! gravid spot


any ideas im at a loss as to what is going on

Can you post a pic?

Just because there is a gravid spot does not mean the fish is pregnant, is her belly fat more at the front?

Well fed isnt a problem unless they are sevrely over wieght. She looks over 2 weeks. I dont want to make any haste decisions but she looks not too far away from the pic. Yeah she is preggers.

i do have a place for her to have the babies been having guppy babies every week for like the last 6 weeks bless them

can platys and guppys have babies together cos i think shes getting chased loads by my boy guppys and my male platy i think must be gay he dont want anything to do with her so thinking that mixture would look so funny lol

Guppies and platies cannot interbreed, no.

Steady are you sure? It looks to me like that fish's gut is dropped at the back too.
