Hey Gang, I got stuck with my brothers gf's fish tank. and one of the smaller platies has grown a white lump near it's tail.

Tank size: 5 gal

tank temp: 78

Fish Symptoms : the fish has a white growth at it's tail area, it is swimming at the top (very slowly) and it's angled upward.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: Not really sure, I just added some, but before putting the water in, I did what was recommended by the regulator.

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: we have pebbles? and a litle plastic rock cave and plastic plant.

Tank inhabitants: 2 platties and a crown betta

Digital photo (include if possible):
I know it's pretty hard to see from the pics I've posted, but I tried my best. The one from the top may be blurry, but you can clearly see how big the bump is! It's on the right side of the fish.

looks like it's not going to make it. I took it to the pet store, and he gave some anti fungal stuff, but it appears it's slowly dying. Currently sitting at the bottom of the tank, not moving. Just breathing :(
