Platy Is It Pregnant Or Ill?

hi i am quite new to keeping fish i have 3 platys i don't know the sex of them i have 4 neons tetras and a plec. one of my platys has a large middle its scales are spiky so point out a little and it has been swimming near the top of the tank. i have no idea whats wrong with it but i thought it might be pregnant because of how large it has become. it has also been acting differently and seems more easily startled. any ideas whats wrong with it?
the platy also seems to be eating less then normal and i should clarify it can swim around the tank it just seems to prefer to be at the top of the tank

Sadly i found her dead this morning i think it was dropsy i thought i would update this even though i have't had a reply hopefully if someone else had a similar thing happen in there tank this will help them. to find out sooner and hopefully they will be able to save there fish.

here is a little info on how to distinguish the sex of your other two..copied and pasted it for ya

sexing platies and other livebearers is easy. all you need to do is look if the anal fin is modified. Male livebearers have a pointy anal fin, called a gonopodium. Female platies have a regular fin-shaped anal fin.
