Platy Has Ick!

AHHHHHH! I think my male has ick!!!

This morning I came down and looked at my tank and everything was normal except my beautiful male had ick spots all over his tail and was iching like crazy!

Usally my platies r the 1st to get ick, and I don't want to lose my feamle. I will soon breed her, and i love her genetics.

I cleaned my tank about two weeks ago, do u guys think I should chage it again? Also, I will not use treatment because, it killed everything in my tank and I had to recycle my tank. I don'y really wnat to do that again.

What am I going to do with the fish now? Put him a vase until he gets better? HELP! CURSE U ICK!!!

yes do a good 30% water change and the treat with either, protozin or myxazin. follow the instructions and repeat every 3 days for 12 days or untill it's cleared

I had problem with ich a couple times. I had no treatment available and no way of getting to the store to get any.

I did 50% water changes with usual water treatments. The only thing I changed a bit was the temp of the water. I made it warmer. But not too warm though. It seemed to work. A week later my two guppies with spots were spotless. Yay! I haven't had any problems in a few months.
