Platy had 1 baby ???????

I’ve just noticed my platy has had a baby but I can only see 1 could this be because they’ve been eaten or can they just have 1 at a time , I’ve tried to catch the baby fry but unsuccessful pls help don’t know what to do

There may be up to a few days between sets of fry. When I had my first guppy fry only one came out, and then a week later I had two dozen.

Hi, leave it be and make sure it has plants to hide in, some fry will have been eaten though.

Most were probably eaten. Have lots of plants in the tank and feed the adult fish 3-5 times a day so they are full and less likely to eat the babies. When the babies appear, use a small container/ cup to scoop them up ad put them in a breeding net or another tank.
