Platy Growth?

I have 10 platy fry that are about 4 weeks old and more due any day now. I was wondering when they get their color and become sexually capable so I can separate the genders?

2-4 mounths. I think, 94% sure.

Two months is generally a good estimate for a point when you can sex the fry. Up to four months for sexual maturity though. Be aware that if you have a mature male in the tank, the other males may be slower to develop. This is why people think that females change sex to males. They are slow developing sometimes when there is a mature male present.
