Platy giving birth in breeding net

When your platy is pregnant you put her in a breeding net. I heard platies eat their babies. Let's say she gives birth at night, it means i won't be able to remove her right away......wouldn't she eat the babies?
I hope not!

She may eat some, but may not see the rest at night. Just be careful when you first turn on the light b/c she will see them. Be ready to scoop 'em or moms gonna wake up to breakfast
