How long is it before platy get their adult colouration?

It depends on the variety. My dwarf red coral Platy are born a beautiful red color. It is the same color as my mature Platy.

They are normally born with their adult colouration.

It really depends on the strain when they hit adulthood. And the same goes for their coloration and pattern. So, there are strains where newborns already have the coloration and/or pattern which adults have and there are strains where they start blend and the coloration and /or pattern will be developed later on.
