Got in from work at 2am an looked in tank an noticed my platy was not looking as fat as it had been but the light was off and I didnt want to disturb all the other fish so I went to bed. Got up bout 9:30am made a coffee then looked in tank. Just as I got to tank I could see a zebra danio havin a bit of a fit in the top corner near filter an as I got close I realised it was trying to get platy fry and before I could think shall I do something an try and keep, it was eaten.(didn't know what to think at this moment as it would be my first fry).

Looked in tank and could not see anymore not like I would as they should be hiding. Fed all the other hungry buggers then I noticed a tetra at back of tank moving up and down the filter box and sure enough there was another tiny platy fry... decided to let things be as I do not have the equipment at this moment to try to keep the fry. I have seen 1 more under a rock so i'm guessing there are 2 maybe 3 still hiding.

SORRY THIS A BIT LONG but....

My platy looks like there still maybe more to come(not 100% about this though) even though she is not as fat, could this be possible ? and how many ?
and male platy is really harrassing the 3 females at the moment.

Also would my corries eat the platy fry as they seem to be the only fish in tank that go near the rockery/cave(very small) at the back of the tank ?

Platys deliver their fry over a few days so she still might have a few more yet. The cories might eat the fry if they find them but fry can get in places they can not so ther is always a chance they will survive. Male platys IMOE are randy little devels and as long as there is a female then they have work to do :)

Most fry will be smart enough to hide. Zebras are big fry eaters though, so you never know. However, if they have survived this long, most likely they will have gotten their bearings, and will understand the hiding places, and the other fish. :)

Anyway, she could have more. Platies are always fat though, because most likely they are already pregnant with a new batch by the time they have the older ones. How fat is she?

Cories don't usually eat fry, in my experience. Though this may be because the fry don't tend to hang out near the bottom so much. But they aren't blood-thirsty fry eaters. :p

Yeah, the male Platy will be harassing them a lot. They are probably all pregnant, correct? So secreting pregnancy hormone, which the males like. If they are close to giving birth, the male will try to stress them out and cause them to abort so he can eat the fry. I'd guess your others are close to giving birth too. Or you could just have a rowdy male...but aren't they all...

It was 1 of my mickey mouse platys that had the fry and on latest inspection it looks like there are more to come but not as fat as before. My other mickey mouse looks like it maybe having its first lot of fry but i'm not 100% on this 1 but the blue platy is not expecting any fry and its the biggest platy out of all of them and it will sometimes push the red(male) platy back so he go's away.

Is the gravid spot visible? Because sometimes you can look and see if you can see any frys' eyes. :)

The male might be bugging the other Mickey Mouse because she is getting close. And good for your Blue Platy..not all of them have that courage! :p

There is a tiny tiny black dot/speck as before but I can also see another black dot a bit higher up in the plat's body (no its not poo, I can see where that is coming from also) Can't see any spot on other mickey yet but is taking same shape as the mickey with the latest fry.

Can you tell me how many fry a platy can have min - max plz ?

Min - 1.
Max - 60-70 probably. Depends on the age and size though. :)

Sounds like you might have more fry!
