Platy Fry Colours

Hi all
I am now the proud owner of 7 various platys and have today found 1 little fry hidingbehind the filter!! It's bright orange and looks to have black eyesand i would say it's 6 or 7 mm long. Can you give mne any idea how old it might be. I thought it took a little while for the colours to show.

Thanks! Trying to catch the little guy to put him in a breeder net for a while and have put a large fine leafed plant for him to hide in if needs be.

My Variatus Platies were born very orange too, so it might not be that old. They also seem to be born bigger then the Maculatus variety, so I'd guess <week to 2 weeks. Most likely the former though.

Thanks for that Annastasia, haven't a clue where he's hiding now, just keeps popping out every few hours. I'm a bit concerned that he won't get enough to eat as he doesn't come out to feed with the others though....

I wouldn't worry about that the fry will come out at nite in the dark and they'll be picking around in the gravel for food.
