Hi everyone!
I have two fish tanks. My largest tank has two adult serpae tetras, and four adult platy (26 gallons). I have a second smaller tank (15 gallon) we used for "starting" fish to make sure they were ok before moving into the big tank. Long story short- bought a pregnant platy (whom i was told was "bloated" when i bought her)-- and now my smaller tank is filled with 7 fry- they are now 8 months old, and 5 of them are females- four pregnant. The tank is getting small and I need to do something. One of them just gave birth, and now I have 7 more newborms (in a net).
At what point can i move the 8 month old fry to the larger tank and not have to worry about them getting eaten?? I have heard serpaes can be kind of aggressive. I want to move the 5 females to the larger tank (remember, 4 are preggers). How do i know when they are old or big enough??
Any advice??? Greatly appreciated!!!
